Welcome to my page. My name is Rene. I was born and raised in Mönchengladbach, in the utmost western part of Germany. My heart’s passion is photography. I love to shoot landscapes, capture travel experiences and outdoor-sports, which are all personal passions of mine as well.
It all began 10 years ago with a four month trip to Australia.
That was the spark that lit the flame. In terms of photography, travel and personal development.
In the following years, I became increasingly infected with the travel virus and always took my camera with me.
My curiosity to explore the world took me to even more remarkable places. Iceland in deep winter chasing northern lights or cave expeditions in Vietnam.
My purpose is to find that one picture, that one motive. Always improving my sight and ability to capture the moment and it’s emotion. Always building my personal skill-set.
All I know is self-taught. I continually expanded my photography skills. I guess, being the perfectionist I am, that will be an ongoing thing and forever remain an opportunity to hone my skills and grow.

My focus right now
I left my cozy, settled, nine-to-five life in July 2016 and embarked on a long journey with my T3 syncro van „Horst“. My motto is „Exploring the world“, which is currently Europe with an open road ahead, enough diesel in the tank and a head full of stars.
I traded my 75 sqm apartment for a 4.5 sqm bus, my well-paid 9-5 office job for the unknown. End of journey – to be determined.
My intention is to fully focus on my passion and to find the best spots to shoot and to wait for that special light to portray the perfect beauty of that spot. I have the time and space to do that now, which is very liberating. On top, vanlife is an opportunity to get to know people and places.
It is an interesting experience. Having to have all you need in a small bus. Small budget. Reducing to the max.
